PARALLEL SHINES AT AUCTION NAPA VALLEY:
Napa Valley Wine Auction: Parallel was a big hit, raising $33,900 for 10 cases of Parallel's highly touted 2007 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon. This was the 3rd highest amount raised at the Barrel Auction. In addition to the bidders and tasters, reviewers liked this wine. In his regular blog, Wine Spectator's Jim Laube placed Parallel in his highest category "Exceptional".
Auction Napa Valley is one of America's leading Charitable Wine Auctions. Over 120 wineries each presented 10 cases of their best 2006 and 2007 Napa Valley Wine as part of the Fun-Packed Barrel Auction. Bidders bid on one case of the wine they taste from the barrel. After the auction the barrels are returned to the caves for further aging and bottling. before being delivered to the Winning Bidders. If you ever have the chance - attend this event. Sample foods from almost all Napa Valley Restaurants and bid on barrel lots from over 100 wineries.
Parallel also received many praises for the 2003 and 2005 Parallel Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, which the partners poured at the American Express Departures Magazine Event, the night before the barrel auction.

Add to that a Cave Tasting for up to six, with a Parallel Owner and Parallel's winemaker Philippe Melka, followed by a Lunch for up to six at the picturesque Parallel Estate Vineyard with the Parallel Owners.
