Deep ruby. Dark fruits, violet and a whiff of caramel on the rather exotic nose. Distinctly high-toned but fresh, with underlying minerality and ripe acidity keeping the very ripe fruit from going over the top. Finishes with chewy tannins. From vines picked quite early in 2007.

Delicious and compelling 100% Cabernet from this great vintage. Shows classically developed, sweet Napa tannins and wonderfully ripe fruit. As expressive as the blackberries and currants are, they’re reined in with minerals and herbs to produce exquisite tension. Best now, with a good decant, and should develop for many years.
Winemaker’s Description: The 2007 Parallel Estate Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from a few select rows in Parallel's St. Helena hillside vineyards overlooking Lake Hennessey. Twenty-six months in 100% new French Oak has provided the structure which unveils, as it aerates, a velvety texture and a promise of a long aging potential. The nose, rich and complex, reveals black cherries, licorice, and mocha flavors. The minerality carries seducing black currant, cassis and mocha along with a classic vanilla from the extraordinary 2007 Napa Valley Vintage.
