2006 Parallel Napa Valley Estate Cabernet Sauvignon (750mL 3pk)

95 points Wine Enthusiast

A 100% Cabernet aged in 100% new French oak, grown in the warmer Conn Valley region east of the Silverado Trail. The wood contributes layers of toast and caramel, while the underlying wine is massive, with tiers of blackberries, black cherries, black currants, red currants, cedar and spices. Very dramatic and beautiful, but needs time. 2012–2020, at least. (8/2010)

91 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar

Full ruby. Roasted black fruits and licorice on the nose and palate. Sound acids gives this rather exotic wine an elegant quality. Finishes with broad, mouthcoating tannins. Made by Philippe Melka from a vineyard close to Seavey. (5/2009)

Wine Spectator

Ripe and complex, showing bold, earthy-loamy currant, mineral, sage and graphite notes that are full-bodied, dry and savory, ending with firm tannins. (Web Only - 2009)
