Winemaker Philippe Melka's Tasting Notes
"This wine is a fantastic representation of the vintage, showcasing a rich, darker, and sweeter aroma with hints of dried herbs, mocha, blackberry, dark cherry, and blueberry. On the palate, it offers a velvety texture, smooth tannins, a touch of sweetness, and a blend of spices and herbs alongside dark plum flavors. The wine has a nice richness, balanced by a refreshing acidity that adds to its texture and depth. Already approachable and enticing at this young stage, it promises to be just as enjoyable now as it will be over the next decade or more."
94 Points - The Wine Palate (Lisa Perrotti-Brown)
"The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is 95% Cabernet Sauvignon with 5% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple colored, it shoots from the glass with intense notes of black cherries and juicy black currants, leading to hints of dried herbs, pencil shavings, and iron-rich soils. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is packed with bright blackberry flavors and savory accents, supported by lightly chewy tannins and bags of freshness, finishing on a mineral note."
