Current Release Wines

The Parallel Napa Valley label captures the essence of the lines carved by skis on the first run of the day. We wanted our 40+ years of friendship and life in Park City to be reflected in our wine. The label has served to reflect our 24+ years of friendship, planting, tending, harvesting and making wines with famed winemaker, Philippe Melka, and his Atelier Melka Team, from the parallel rows of vines floating across hillside vineyards in Napa Valley and the Russian River Valley.

An Exclusive Vertical Collection of one 750mL bottle of each of our 2017, 2018 and 2019 Parallel Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon wines.

Watch our Retrospectve Virtual Tasting on these vintages with Winemaker Philippe Melka where he shares his impressions of the wines.

97 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

"There are 262 cases of the stunning 2019 Black Diamond Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Prima, a blend from two famous vineyards. There's a rich, earthy element and hints of licorice, and both lend nuances to the ripe cassis fruit in this full-bodied effort, which comes across as densly concentrated yet supple and silky...Approachable now, yet with the stuffing to last at least a decade, it's a lovely Cabernet that really expresses its (largely) Rutherford origins."

94 Points - Karen MacNeil

"Parallel Napa Valley (named after the parallel course that their lives took and an homage to skiing, which the couples also loved) makes distinctive small lot Cabernets from vineyards in the heart of the valley—Oakville and Rutherford. This Cabernet—their “regular” one, not the reserve—is juicy, lively, complex, sleek, and intense. The texture is all silk and velvet. 2019 was a top vintage for many Napa wines—as you’ll see if you lay in a bottle or two of this gem. And while the wine is not inexpensive, we think it delivers more than a slew of other Cabernets that cost nearly twice as much."

In order to ensure the best experience with our wines, please store them in a cool, dark, dry place; Cabernets ideally at 55-60F and Chardonnays at 40-50F. When opening, these wines may require decanting, especially if they are vintages 2003-2011. Please allow 30-120 minutes of decanting before enoying (the older the wine the longer it may take).
